Coretax (Core Tax DJP) is the official digital tax administration system managed by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) through the PSIAP project (Core Tax Administration System Renewal).
Effective January 1, 2025, Coretax replaces several legacy systems so that tax reporting, taxpayer registration, and other tax services can be carried out more efficiently, securely, and in an integrated way.
This article explains how to register for Coretax, create an account, the requirements, and how to log in—so you can start using this digital tax service right away.
Coretax (short for Core Tax Administration System) is the latest tax system from the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), launched on January 1, 2025. It replaces older systems such as DJP Online and various separate applications previously used for NPWP registration, tax return filing (SPT), tax payments, and other administrative services.
DJP introduced Coretax because the previous systems were fragmented and often difficult for everyday users:
1. Integrated Platform
All tax services—from NPWP registration, tax return filing, payments, to communication with tax officers—are available in one place, without switching between systems.
2. Fully Online Access
Users can complete almost all services digitally without visiting a tax office. This is especially helpful for people in remote areas or those with busy schedules.
3. Faster, Real-Time Processing
Coretax is built with a more modern and efficient system. Data validation, payment confirmation, and service status notifications are processed more quickly.
4. Secure and Transparent
Every activity is recorded with an audit trail. The system also uses direct validation with the national civil registry (Dukcapil via NIK), minimizing input errors and potential misuse.
5. NIK Integration
In line with the NIK-NPWP integration policy, Coretax allows individuals without an NPWP to activate their tax ID directly using their NIK.
Coretax is designed as a modern tax system to simplify access to tax services. Key features include:
Here are the official steps to register for a Coretax account based on guidance from the Directorate General of Taxes:
To use a certified electronic signature for tax documents or other DJP-related services, users must obtain an electronic certificate and authorization code from DJP. Here’s how:
This process only needs to be completed once. After that, you can use your electronic signature legally and automatically across various digital systems integrated with DJP.
After logging in, you can directly access various tax services such as tax return filing, NPWP registration, tax payments, and more—all digitally.
Registering for Coretax requires careful attention to avoid errors. By meeting the requirements, completing your data accurately, and following the activation steps above, you can quickly gain access to digital tax services through Coretax.
