Jakarta, January 31, 2024 - On the occasion of International Data Privacy Day, VIDA (PT Indonesia Digital Identity), a Certificate Authority (CA) in Indonesia, is thrilled to announce its outstanding performance in the Biometric Security Study by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). VIDA has achieved a groundbreaking #1 global ranking, underscoring its commitment to data privacy and security.

The NIST Biometric Security Study sets the gold standard for evaluating and benchmarking global biometric security solutions. This achievement solidifies VIDA's position among the elite in the digital identity space. The Face Analysis Technology Evaluation by the NIST is the most comprehensive testing platform for liveness detection for global biosecurity companies.

The study tests Presentation Attack Detection algorithms across multiple still and video scenarios to determine the strength of the security protocol in preventing a breach or a false positive which causes bad user experiences for customers.

VIDA showcased the best performance from Indonesian companies and achieved scores that are on par with biosecurity companies from the US, China, and Korea.
